Reception Set for Faculty Journal Editors

George Mason faculty members will have their journal work displayed on Thursday, Nov. 13, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. when the Office of the Provost and University Libraries co-host a reception in the Johnson Center’s George’s Restaurant.

Century Club of George Mason University Hosts Ethics Seminar

Tomorrow the Century Club of George Mason University will host “Ethics in the Workplace,” a seminar examining how the private sector and government can establish an ethical workforce. Local experts will share their best practices, including programs they find effective in instilling and maintaining ethical behavior. The event takes place at the Ritz Carlton Hotel, Tysons Corner, from 8 to 10:30 a.m.

Town Hall Meetings to Be Held for New Student Banner Component

Since June 2003, the largest part of the Patriot Project has been under construction, and the new Banner Student system will be implemented in time for fall 2004 registration. To help Mason faculty and students learn more about this system, four Town Hall Meetings will be held this month as follows:

What are the consequences of constant real-time coverage of terrorism and war on U.S. foreign policy and public opinion? Members of the “War and Conflict in the Middle East: Lost in Translation?” panel will attempt to answer this question today from 6 to 7:15 p.m. in the SUB II Ballroom.

Jean Pouchet is November Employee of the Month

Jean Pouchet, administrative office specialist and office manager for the Physical Plant, is the November Employee of the Month. While her position puts her in charge of office operations for the Physical Plant, many have observed her taking on additional tasks for the department.
