Student-Run Gallery Presents ‘An Alumni Show’

Point in Space Gallery (“.”), a gallery run by Mason students in the City of Fairfax, will open an exhibition titled “An Alumni Show” on Thursday, April 2 with a reception from 6 to 8 p.m.

Robert G. Smith, superintendent of Arlington (Va.) Public Schools (APS), will join the Mason faculty this fall as an associate professor of education in the College of Education and Human Development (CEHD).

Naoru Koizumi loves solving a mystery. She enjoys discovering “hidden facts” and uses computer modeling and simulations, as well as geographic information systems (GIS), to “tease out” answers to important questions. “Sometimes if you visualize [the data], the answer is so obvious,” she says.
