Lee Talbot, Mason professor of environmental science and policy, will receive the prestigious Explorers Medal this spring from the New York-based Explorers Club.
According to the organization, Talbot’s “remarkable and continuing career embodies all three criteria for the Explorers Medal: extraordinary contributions to exploration, to scientific research and to human welfare.”

The 1,000th “NEW” employee, Adrien Loseille from the College of Science, was welcomed to Mason’s New Employee Welcome (NEW) Center by coordinator Jacquie Lowe on Jan. 28.
