Ziegler Named to U.S. Olympic Swim Team

Mason sophomore Kate Ziegler has been named to the U.S. 2008 Olympic swim team after finishing second in both the 400-meter and 800-meter freestyle events at the Olympic trials in Omaha, Neb.

Kicklighter to Lead Critical Infrastructure Protection Program

Retired Lt. Gen. Claude M. “Mick” Kicklighter will join the School of Law this fall as director of the Critical Infrastructure Protection Program, a project that specializes in basic and applied interdisciplinary research in critical infrastructure protection and security and defense issues. Kicklighter spent the past year as inspector general of the Department of Defense.

Customers peering into the pastry case at La Patisserie, an eatery on Mason’s Fairfax Campus, may be in for a big surprise. On the rack next to traditional favorites, such as blueberry muffins and chocolate croissants, they may find a corn dog muffin. Yes, a corn dog muffin.
