Richard Virgin Named New Associate Vice President for University Development

Richard (Rick) Virgin has joined Mason as the new associate vice president for university development. He reports to Marc Broderick, vice president for university development and alumni affairs. Virgin assumed his duties on March 31.

Coach Jim Larranaga Signs Contract Extension

Assistant Vice President and Director of Athletics Tom O’Connor announced Wednesday that men’s basketball head coach Jim Larranaga has signed a three-year contract extension at Mason. Larranaga is now signed through the 2014-15 season.

For Craig Gibson, there’s no such thing as a typical day. Mason’s associate university librarian for research, instructional and outreach services is constantly interacting with people in the libraries and throughout the university.

His efforts will be acknowledged this summer with an award from the Association of College and Research Libraries.
