University Scholars Program Hosts Panel on Human Trafficking

The University Scholars Global Awareness Committee will present a panel discussion on human trafficking on Wednesday, Nov. 14, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in Dewberry Hall North on Mason’s Fairfax Campus.

Fifty years ago, in 1957, 17 students enrolled at George Mason College, a branch of the University of Virginia, and attended class in a renovated elementary school building at Bailey’s Crossroads. Fifteen years later, in 1972, George Mason College officially became George Mason University.

Men’s Basketball Wins 60-53 in Season Opener

The Mason men’s basketball team used a 19-4 second-half run to overcome a nine-point deficit, and Mason opened the 2007-08 season with a 60-53 win over Vermont.
