Fenwick Fellows for 2007-08 Announced

University Librarian John Zenelis has announced the Fenwick Fellows for the 2007-08 academic year: Halaevalu Vakalahi, associate professor in the Department of Social Work, and Tony Samara and John G. Dale, assistant professors in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology.

Ahoure Named Most Outstanding Performer at Championships

Sophomore Murielle Ahoure successfully defended her titles in both the 100- and 200-meter dash on the final day of the ECAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships, held in Princeton, N.J. this past weekend.

George Mason freshman Becky Anderson earned two Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) honors for her efforts during the 2007 softball campaign as she was named to the All-CAA First Team, as well as the conference all-rookie squad.

It’s easy to view Mason’s class of 2007 — 6,793 students strong — as a mass consisting of anonymous individuals who fulfilled their academic requirements and will soon move on to another phase of their lives. But spend some time talking to just a few of them and you realize that each has a special story, often inspiring.
