Sharon Siverts, formerly director of the agency responsible for overseeing the quality of private higher education in the United Arab Emirates, has been appointed vice president for Mason’s Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) Campus.

The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus comes to the Patriot Center on the Fairfax Campus in March, and will remain through April 8. The theme is “Circus of Dreams.”

Local high school football coach Michael Wright, Redskins Gatorade Coach of the Week and Sun Gazette Coach of the Year, spoke to students, faculty and staff on the Prince William Campus last week as part of Black History Month activities. Wright, who coaches at Flint Hill School in Oakton, Va., addressed “Performing through Diversity.”
