Patriots Head to CAA Tournament

Be bold, wear gold! That’s the mantra for this weekend as the men’s basketball team heads into the important Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Tournament. Winning the tournament will mean a berth for the Patriots in the NCAA Championship tournament that begins March 14.

Sandy Smith Is March Employee of the Month

March Events at the Patriot Center

The Patriot Center gets a blast of excitement this March with “Battle at the Capitol” cheer and dance championships, the Colonial Athletic Association Women’s Basketball Tournament, Larry the Cable Guy, the Harlem Globetrotters, Kid Rock and more.

Presidential Citation

Clarissa Abban, a global affairs major who is also a resident advisor, received a Presidential Citation from President Alan Merten on Feb. 28. Last fall, Abban sacrificed her own safety to protect a female resident from an intruder.Creative Services photo

Mason and Italian Institute Pen Agreement for Proteomics Research

Adding to its cache of unique and rewarding international relationships, Mason and the Istituto Superiore di Sanitá of Rome, Italy, have signed a three-year agreement to develop an unprecedented proteomics research program that unveils new cancer diagnostics and therapies through the discovery of drug targets and biomarkers for early disease detection. A trial collaboration has been under way for several months.
