Chief HR Officer Candidates Continue Presentations Tomorrow

Music Department Offers Two Performances This Weekend

The Department of Music presents Opera Scenes tomorrow at 8 p.m. in the Harris Theatre and the George Mason Honors Recital on Sunday at 3 p.m. in the same location. Both events are free and open to the public.

Valerie K. Johnson Is Student Commencement Speaker

Valerie K. Johnson of Dale City, Va., will give the graduate address during Commencement on Saturday, May 17. She will graduate with a B.A. in Communication with a concentration in public relations.

Top George Mason Performers Featured at 2003 Scholarship Concert

George Mason music students will help raise money for the department’s scholarship fund as they headline the seventh annual Music Scholarship Concert tonight. The winners of the 2003 Concerto Competition at George Mason will perform with the George Mason Symphony Orchestra conducted by professor Anthony Maiello.

U.S. Army Brass Quintet Performs Tomorrow

The U.S. Army Brass Quintet will perform tomorrow at George Mason beginning at 12:30 p.m. in the Performing Arts Building, Room A323. The quintet, one of America’s premiere chamber groups, will perform a varied repertoire, including the original version of the National Anthem.
