DACCE Celebrates 15th Anniversary

In 1988, George Mason began offering the Doctor of Arts in Community College Education (DACCE)–a doctoral program focused on teaching and learning in the community college setting. Established as part of the Graduate School of Education, DACCE had its first graduation in 1990.

George Mason Hosts Regional College Fair Next Week

The annual Northern Virginia Regional College Fair will be held Wednesday, April 9, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. in the Patriot Center. Sponsored by the Admissions Office, the fair is free and open to the public. More than 230 colleges and universities from across the nation will be represented.

The Institute for Conflict Analysis and Resolution (ICAR) presents Glyn Ford, Labour Party member of the European Parliament, speaking on “Racism and Xenophobia in Europe: Causes of Conflict, Prospects for Resolution.” The 16th annual Vernon M. and Minnie I. Lynch Lecture will be held tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. in the Concert Hall Grand Tier.

George Mason faculty members and students have the opportunity to showcase their creative projects and compete for prizes at Innovations 2003, a showcase of unique and creative learning experiences, held on Wednesday, April 30, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Johnson Center Dewberry Hall.

Presentation of Millionth Volume Set for Wednesday

College of Arts and Sciences Dean Daniele Struppa will officially present his millionth volume gift to the university’s libraries tomorrow, and the exhibition of rare books, manuscripts, and other valuable materials will be formally opened.
