Panel to Address Diversity and Equity in Science and Health Careers

On Wednesday, March 21, from 3 to 5 p.m., a panel of experts will focus on diversity and equity in recruitment and retention efforts for science and health careers.

The discussion will be held in the Johnson Center Robeson Room, 240A.

Panelists are:

  • Laura Castillo-Page, American Association of Medical Colleges, who is also a member of the Health Professions for Diversity Coalition
  • Jan Cuny, National Science Foundation/National Science Board

  • Cesar Perez-Gonzalez, National Institutes of Health and member of the National Postdoctoral Association Diversity Committee

These presenters will talk about known data on diversity in the science and health care workforces, the implications of maintained disparities and efforts to address these issues.
