Dec. 1–John Riskind, Psychology, presented “Psychology of Anti-Israeli Bias” to the Jewish Community Center in Fairfax, Va.

Dec. 6–Doris Bitler, Undergraduate Academic Affairs, presented “Feline Attraction” at the Lee Senior Center in Arlington, Va.

Dec. 6–Susan Shields, Dance, spoke on “The Creation of a Dance” at the Langston-Brown Senior Center in Arlington, Va.

Dec. 10–Stephen Ruth, School of Public Policy, talked to a group at the Jewish Community Center in Fairfax, Va., on “Getting to Know the Great Heroes and Villains of the Old Testament.”

Dec. 11–Michael Randy Gabel, Mathematical Sciences, spoke to the seniors at Tall Oaks of Reston, Va., on “How Paradoxes Promote Learning.”

Dec. 12–Chris Parsons, Environmental Science and Policy, spoke to the Science Honor Society at James Madison High School in Vienna, Va., on the topic “Whales and Dolphins.”
