Traditionally performing to sold-out houses, the university’s Department of Music instrumental and vocal ensembles will present the annual holiday concert on Sunday, Dec. 10, at 7 p.m. in the Center for the Arts Concert Hall.

The program includes old seasonal favorites, carols, Hanukkah songs, selections from “The Nutcracker,” the ever-popular audience sing-a-long and, this year, a roster of special guest conductors including men’s basketball head coach Jim Larranaga and many Mason music faculty members.

The concert also features 6-year-old trumpet wonder Geoffrey Gallante and soprano Elizabeth Curtis as guest soloists, as well as several guest dancers.

Although subject to change, the current lineup includes holiday music for orchestra, “Dances” from “The Nutcracker Suite,” the “Hanukkah Festival Overture,” “The Christmas Song,” “A Christmas Medley for Trumpet,” “Jingle Bells Forever,” selections from Handel’s “Messiah” and “Frosty the Snowman.”

Tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for students and seniors. Charge by phone at 888-945-2468 or visit
