Max Baker has been promoted to associate athletic director/executive director of the Patriot Club. Baker fills the vacancy left by James “Buzzy” Correll, who is returning to his alma mater, North Carolina State, in a similar role.

Emil Chuck is a new administrative faculty member in Student Academic Affairs.

Danielle Dessaso joins the Creative Services Department as a production assistant.

Catherine Elbo is the new coordinator for communications and events in the Information Technology Unit.

Mark Flanigan has left his position as international internships program officer, Center for Global Education, to work for the federal government as a 2006 Presidential Management Fellow.

Nelson Noe Granados is a new trades/utilities senior worker in Facilities Management.

Buford Jenkins has joined Facilities Management as a carpenter.

Scott King joins Mason as head coach of the men’s golf team. He replaces Linda Gaudi, who resigned after seven seasons to devote more time to golf instruction. King comes to Mason with a background in collegiate coaching at the College of William and Mary and Eastern Michigan University.

Carrie McVicker is the new events coordinator/administrative assistant for Prince William Administration. She formerly worked for the College of Visual and Performing Arts.

Gregory Miller has joined Facilities Management as a carpenter.

Howard Heishman is a new HVAC technical assistant in Facilities Management.

Julie Kaplan is a new career counselor in University Career Services.

Jennifer Montgomery has joined the Intercollegiate Athletics Department staff as director of major gifts, a newly created position. Montgomery comes to Mason from Georgetown University, where she worked for the past six years in the athletic development office.

Joy Roach is the new program coordinator for the Prince William Office of Continuing and Professional Education.

Greg Wagner has been named the new Patriot Center Box Office director. Wagner comes from the Richmond Convention Center, where he served as its box office/parking/utility services manager. He also worked at Lone Star Park in Texas, the University of Texas at El Paso, and at the Kiefer UNO Lakefront Center at the University of New Orleans.

College of Health and Human Services

Janice Lee-Beverly and Annette Tallant are new administrative office specialists.

College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences

Jason King is student services manager for the BIS program.

School of Law

Amy Kate Shepherd is the new assistant director of JD counseling and marketing.
