Heavy rains over the weekend washed out Fairfax Campus roads in two different places. The Nottoway River Road (the Sideburn Road-extended entrance to the campus) is washed out at the culvert just before Patriot Circle. Another washout occurred on Patriot Circle near the new Research I building.

Traffic is being re-routed to avoid those areas, and crews are working on the problem.

The following areas are closed for repairs until further notice:

  • Patriot Circle from the Aquatic and Fitness Center to the Parking Lot B entrance

  • Through traffic on Nottoway River Lane

  • The foot path connecting Lot A with Patriot Circle
