Once again, it’s time for local businesses to strut their stuff in an attempt to win investors’ hearts – and pocketbooks – at the Business Alliance of George Mason University’s quarterly Grubstake Breakfast.
The event will be held on Thursday, June 15, at the McLean Hilton, Tyson’s Corner, Va., from 7:45 to 9:30 a.m. The networking and investor’s forum will feature presentations from five companies seeking $250,000 to $2 million in investment capital: Enterprise Elements Inc., iNeoMarketing Inc., Security Knowledge Solutions LLC, South49 Solutions, and XTS.
The Grubstake Breakfast program is a partnership activity between the Business Alliance of George Mason University, the School of Management and the Mason Enterprise Center affording an excellent opportunity to connect with local business leaders, stay abreast of the latest technologies and learn more about the process of funding early stage companies.
The program also features a panel of venture experts: Steve Fritz, Maryland TEDCO; Mark Franz, In-Q-Tel; and Don Rainey, Intersouth Partners. They will provide a brief overview of their funds and offer feedback to the presenting companies. In addition, representatives from honorary runner-up StreamerNet will also display their technology at the breakfast.
Mason faculty, alumni and friends are invited to attend at the reduced faculty and Business Alliance member rate (a $30 savings per person). To register, visit the Business Alliance web site.
