Business Alliance Offers ‘Blog This!’

Did you know the online History News Network is hosted by George Mason University as a project of the Center for History and New Media? The network’s editor is Rick Shenkman, associate professor of history.

Shenkman will be joined by two nationally renowned interactive media experts on a panel at the May 18 SmartTalk Breakfast, “Blog This! The Good, the Bad, the Ugly and Why It All Matters,” sponsored by the Business Alliance of George Mason University.

The breakfast will be held at Maggiano’s in Tysons Corner, Va. Networking begins at 7:30 a.m.; the program runs from 8 to 9:30 a.m.

Other panelists are Pete Snyder of New Media Strategies and Marshall Manson of Edelman. The panelists will discuss the pros and cons of blogging, the technology required to host a blog and the impact of blogging from a communications, marketing, business management and social perspective.
