The George Mason women’s tennis team wrapped up the season on Saturday with a 7-0 win against Catholic University at home on Senior Day, ending a record 14-win season and finishing the year 14-12.

Mason says good-bye to senior co-captains Andreea Fusea and Jenn Dektas, who ended their season on high notes with victories in both singles and doubles.

“Jenn and Andreea will be sorely missed,” said Head Coach Steve Curtis. “They are a huge part of our record 14-win season.”

In singles action, Fusea didn’t lose a game in her no. 1 singles match against Catholic’s Stephanie Kennedy, 6-0, 6-0. She played all her matches at no. 1 singles, finishing with a 18-8 singles record on the year.

Dektas lost only two games in her no. 3 singles match to Rachel Tenuta, 6-1, 6-1. She finished with a 9-7 dual match record, with the majority of her matches played from the no. 3 singles position.
