The National Consortium for Academics and Sports (NCAS) announced that George Mason University made the Degree Completion Honor Roll for the 2004-05 season.
The award, given at the Founder’s Luncheon during the NCAS Annual Conference, represents Mason’s commitment to developing leadership in student-athletes and caring for the community.
It also signifies Mason’s athletic department’s dedication—and the dedication of the university as a whole–to develop young people to become tomorrow’s leaders. It is because of outstanding efforts, representatives of the NCAS said, that Mason is recognized as a leader amongst America’s institutions of higher education.
The NCAS is an ever-growing organization of colleges, universities and individuals. Its mission is to create a better society by focusing on educational attainment and using the power and appeal of sport to positively affect social change.
