The next lecture in the Commission for Women Lecture Series, sponsored by George Mason and the Fairfax County Commission for Women, features Patricia Carretta, associate dean of University Life. She will discuss “Effective Networking” on Wednesday, April 12, at 7:30 p.m. at the Fairfax County Government Center, conference rooms 4-5.

Regardless of who you are or what you do, networking is an important skill that can increase your efficiency, productivity and resources. This presentation addresses how to network effectively in your personal and professional life – to find a new job, meet new people, further a cause, increase your client or customer base, recruit volunteers, collaborate to provide services or build membership and support for your organization.

The lecture is free and refreshments are provided. The Fairfax Government Center, which offers free parking, is located at 12000 Government Center Parkway, Fairfax, Va. For more information, call Traci Claar, director of community relations, at 703-993-8846.
