A master at transforming everyday movement into powerful abstract drama, Susan Marshall has perfected a unique style of emotional storytelling through critically acclaimed dances. Susan Marshall and Company returns to the Center for the Arts on Saturday, March 4, at 8 p.m. with a program celebrating Marshall’s 20 years with Dance Theater Workshop.

Her new work, “Cloudless,” features Marshall’s physical, yet cerebral, imagery set to music in an eclectic collection of intimate pieces ranging in length from 30 seconds to 5 minutes.

Susan Marshall and Company, founded in 1982, has performed throughout the United States, Europe and the Far East. The company appears at dozens of international festivals annually, including the Edinburgh International Festival, Festival International de Nouvelle Danse in Montreal, Spoleto, the American Dance Festival, Vienna Tanz and the Brooklyn Academy of Music’s Next Wave Festival.
