Fenwick Library Offers ‘Changes in Scholarly Communication’

This spring, Digital Repository Services Librarian Dorothea Salo will give a talk about important changes in how research and learning are disseminated. The talk will be presented on Feb. 22 and repeated on March 28 and April 20 at 1 p.m. in the Fenwick Library conference room.

Salo will tell faculty and students how the following may impact their research or teaching career:

  • Self-archiving and open access
  • Disciplinary and institutional digital repositories
  • Research-funder initiatives (Wellcome Trust, NIH, the CURES Act)
  • Journal, monograph and textbook publishing
  • Copyright issues
  • E-resources and digital preservation
