Center for the Arts Presents Keyboard Conversations with Jeffrey Siegel

Pianist Jeffrey Siegel in his unique, upbeat Keyboard Conversations series, combines lively and accessible commentary about composers and their compositions with full-length performances of featured works. He’ll present “Mozart and Chopin: Virtuoso Variations” on Sunday, Jan. 29, at 7 p.m. in the Center for the Arts Concert Hall on the Fairfax Campus.
A piano soloist with some of the world’s leading orchestras, Siegel has performed with many eminent conductors. He has developed loyal fan bases in numerous American cities with the Keyboard Conversations series.
Sunday’s program will feature Mozart, Variations on “Ah, vous dirai-je, maman,” K. 265 (Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star); Sonata in A major, K. 331, Theme and Variations – Andante grazioso, Minuet Rondo alla turca – Allegretto; and Chopin, Variations on “La ci darem la mano,” Op. 2, from Mozart’s opera, “Don Giovanni.”
A Young Artists Piano Musicale featuring some of the area’s finest youthful pianists will be held at 6 p.m. in the Concert Hall Lobby.
