Lillian Arevalo joined the Arlington Campus as director of Operations. Arevalo has an extensive corporate background in project management, most recently as the executive business unit director of Nielsen Media Research in New York City.
Christopher Brady is a new circulation assistant at Fenwick Library.
Charles Hart is a new carpenter in the Physical Plant.
Jeanie Lebak is a new grants administrator in the Office of Research.
Nancy Pickens is a new project manager in the Facilities Planning Office.
Christine Satorre is a new program manager in the Office of Continuing Professional Education, Herndon.
Johnina Velotti is a new contract coordinator in the Office of Continuing Professional Education, Fairfax.
College of Arts and Sciences
Stephanie Groves is a new lab and research specialist for biodefense initiatives.
Institute of Conflict Analysis and Resolution
Dan Druckman’sacademic appointment will move from the Institute of Conflict Analysis and Resolution to the Department of Public and International Affairs in the newly formed College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences, beginning with the 2006-07 year.

Karen Newman is the new director of administrative services. She has 20 years of administrative experience in academia, most recently at Virginia Commonwealth University and previously at Yale University.
