Fall Stats Are in: Mason Enrollment Tops 29,000

According to the latest statistics compiled by the Office of Institutional Research and Reporting (IRR), George Mason’s fall 2005 enrollment stands at 29,728, securing the university’s status as the largest university in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Other facts:

  • Mason has 18,090 undergraduates: 13,578 full-time and 4,512 part-time

  • Mason has 10,896 graduate students: 9,063 part-time and 1,833 full-time
  • Mason has 742 students in the law program; 418 full-time and 324 part-time
  • In 2005, George Mason granted 6,354 degrees: 3,494 undergraduate degrees, 2,611 master’s or doctoral degrees and 249 law degrees
