Johnson Center and University Life Offer Movies and Music in November

The Johnson Center and University Life Programming are offering a full schedule of free entertainment on the Fairfax Campus this fall. Here are some highlights:

  • Tuesday Jams at the Johnson Center Jazzman’s CafĂ©, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., take place on Nov. 8, featuring Dan Cook; Nov.15, featuring Shwa; and Nov. 22, featuring Jon Kaplan.

  • “Wedding Crashers” will be screened on Nov. 11 at 6 p.m., and Nov. 12 at 6:30 and 9:30 p.m. in the Johnson Center Cinema. On Nov. 11, there will be a “wedding reception” from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. in the Johnson Center Cinema Lobby.
  • On Wednesday, Nov. 16, at 8 p.m. in the Johnson Center Cinema, see a sneak preview of “Just Friends,” starring Ryan Reynolds and Amy Smart. Mason students, staff and faculty may pick up tickets at the Student Activities Office or at the Cinema during any regularly scheduled cinema series. Your Mason ID allows you to pick up one free ticket.
  • Every Freakin’ Friday: Nov. 11, Game Night in Student Union Building I featuring Virtual Reality, 9 p.m.; and Nov. 18, Live Band Night, with headliner Assembly of Dust and opener, Andover Trift, Johnson Center Atrium, 9 p.m.
