Once again, it’s time for local businesses to strut their stuff in an attempt to win investors’ hearts—and pocketbooks—at the Business Alliance of George Mason University’s quarterly Grubstake Breakfast.
The event will be held on Thursday, Oct. 20, at the McLean Hilton, Tyson’s Corner, Va., from 7:45 to 9:30 a.m. The networking and investor’s forum will feature presentations from five companies seeking $250,000 to $2 million in investment capital: Advanced Digital Forensic Solutions Inc., Cident Entertainment, Endeavor Systems Inc., InvisiTrack Inc., and Talicyn Inc.
Local investment experts will provide a brief overview of their funds and the market from their perspective and then offer feedback to the five companies presenting their business investment opportunities. The investment experts on the panel will be Charles Curran, Valhalla Partners; Michael Helmicki, Edison Venture Fund; and Jeff Friedman, Monumental Venture Fund.
The Business Alliance of George Mason University (formerly known as the Century Club of George Mason University Inc.) is a nonprofit membership organization focused on creating new opportunities for the local business community, faculty and students at George Mason through the development of quality networking events, educational forums and partnership activities that leverage the expertise found at George Mason and among Business Alliance members.
