Born Will Present Mason Highlights Lecture

Timothy Born, assistant professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, will present this year’s Mason Highlights lecture for Family Weekend on Saturday, Oct. 15, from 2 to 3 p.m. in the Johnson Center, Assembly Room B. His topic is “New Strategies to Combat Antibiotic Resistance: Undergraduate Biochemistry Research at George Mason University.” All members of the university community are invited to attend.
The Mason Highlights lecture is an opportunity for students and their families to engage with faculty in discussions related to faculty members’ research interests. Born joins a group of distinguished faculty who have previously contributed to the Mason Highlights program. These include Colleen Shogan, Public and International Affairs; Peter Mandaville, Center for Global Studies; Alan Cheuse, English; Roger Wilkins, Robinson Professor; and Peter Stearns, Provost.
