James Olds, director of the Krasnow Institute for Advanced Study, was recently named to the editorial board of a new international, peer-reviewed journal called Cognitive Neurodynamics.
“This is a very interesting new Springer [Science and Business Media] journal because it is transdisciplinary in its focus—quite similar to Krasnow,” says Olds.
The journal is set to publish its first issue in January 2007, both in print and online. Editorial board members hail from 22 different countries and regions around the world.
The new journal’s editor in chief, Rubin Wang of the Institute for Brain Information Processing and Cognitive Neurodynamics at East China University of Science and Technology in Shanghai, says the journal will cover “the fields of cognition and neurodynamics as well as their related areas, including cognitive neuroscience, cognitive psychology, mathematics, physics, computer science, intelligent robotics and other aspects.”
Olds is editor in chief of The Biological Bulletin, published by the Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole, Mass., and also sits on the editorial boards of The Anatomical Record Part B, and Review of Policy Research.
