Today at 11:45 a.m., Gov. Mark Warner and First Lady Lisa Collis will join state employees and citizens at the bell tower on Capitol Square in Richmond to mark the one-week anniversary of the terrorist bombings in London. Warner will make comments prior to the tolling of the bells at noon in honor of those who lost their lives in last week’s bombings. Virginians are encouraged to observe two minutes of silence starting at noon.
Virginia, New York, and Pennsylvania, the three states struck by terrorists on Sept. 11, 2001, will hold simultaneous events at noon in a show of solidarity and support for Great Britain.
