‘Movies under the Moon’ Begins Friday

The popular Cox “Movies under the Moon” series on the Fairfax Campus begins this Friday, providing nine evenings of free movies.

Concessions will be available from Red Hot & Blue, Baja Fresh, Domino’s Pizza, Ben & Jerry’s, and Good Humor, and food and drink tickets will be sold on-site for $1 each. Restaurants begin serving at 6:30 p.m., and all movies begin promptly at 8:30 p.m.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit Inova Fairfax Hospital for Children and Camp Fantastic/Special Love, a not-for-profit hospital providing cancer patients and their families with medical care and comfort.

Friday, July 15—The Sound of Music

Saturday, July 16—The Aviator

Sunday, July 17—The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie

Monday, July 18—West Side Story

Tuesday, July 19—Rocky

Wednesday, July 20—Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

Thursday, July 21—Ray

Friday, July 22—Ghostbusters

Saturday, July 23—Dirty Dancing

Enter the campus from any main entrance and follow the signs to Movies under the Moon. Parking is convenient and free. Movies will be shown on Robinson Field next to the Physical Education Building. All movies are projected outdoors on a giant screen, weather permitting. Bring your own beach blanket or low chair.
