In coordination with University Relations, George Mason University’s official Virginia license plate has been redesigned to reflect the university’s new visual identity.
The plates are available for purchase through the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) and benefit George Mason. The annual plate fee is $25, and $15 of that fee is given to support the university after the first 1,000 plates are sold.
“The new plate will allow alumni and friends of George Mason to show their support and pride of the university,” says Alumni Association President Cathy Lemmon, BA Communication ’86, MA Professional Writing and Editing ’93.
The Mason plate can be purchased online on the Virginia DMV’s web site. Personalized plates, which allow drivers to create a message of up to six letters or numbers, are also available.
