George Mason senior lacrosse standout Meg Dentler, a graphic design major, was named first-team all-State, while junior Michele Brady, math education major, and senior Brandi Evans, a physical education major, garnered second team honors in voting conducted by the Virginia Sports Information Directors on Monday.

Dentler, the first Mason women’s lacrosse player ever awarded Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Player of the Year honors for 2005 and two-time all-American, garnered all-State honors for the fourth straight season. Evans and Brady, who were named to the 2005 all-CAA first team, both receive the all-State nod for the second consecutive year. Brady was also selected a 2005 second-team all-Region honoree by the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association and US Lacrosse.

George Mason ended its season with a 7-10 overall record and posted its highest ever CAA finish after tying for second in the overall league standings with a school record 5-2 mark. Mason had five players selected to the all-CAA first and second teams.
