Thousands to Attend Graduations at Patriot Center This Week

Tens of thousands of people have visited the Fairfax Campus this month for high school graduation ceremonies at the Patriot Center—and there are more to come. This week, almost 40,000 people are expected to attend 10 commencement ceremonies taking place during the Mason workday. (Four other commencements will be held during evening hours, attracting almost 18,000 additional visitors.)

Following is the week’s schedule of commencement ceremonies that may affect parking and traffic during regular work hours.

Monday, June 20:

Doors open at 9 a.m.; 10 a.m. to noon, Potomac Falls High School graduation

Doors open at 1 p.m.; 2 to 4 p.m., Broad Run High School graduation

Tuesday, June 21:

Doors open at 9 a.m.; 10 a.m. to noon, Park View High School graduation

Doors open at 1:30 p.m.; 2:30 to 4:30 p.m., Centreville High School graduation

Wednesday, June 22:

Doors open at 8:30 a.m., 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., Westfield High School graduation

Doors open at 1:30 p.m., 2:30 to 4:30 p.m., Herndon High School graduation

Thursday, June 23:

Doors open at 9 a.m., 10 a.m. to noon, Chantilly High School graduation

Doors open at 1 p.m., 2 to 4 p.m., Robert E. Lee High School graduation

Friday, June 24:

Doors open at 9 a.m., 10 a.m. to noon, Oakton High School graduation

Doors open at 1:30 p.m., 2:30 to 4:30 p.m., Hayfield High School graduation
