BYTE Week Reminder

If you haven’t already signed up for Build Your Technology and Teaching Expertise (BYTE) Week workshops, which begin May 16, there’s still time. New workshops offered this spring for faculty and staff include WebCT Course Management Tools 4.1 (new version); Emerging Technology Primer: The Hype Cycle, RSS/Blogs and Podcasting; Ethics of File Sharing; and Computer Accessories: Pen Tablets, Digital Styluses, and Tablet PCs.
Other workshops cover EndNote, copyright (fair use and TEACH Act), web authoring, web accessibility, creating and manipulating graphics, interactive multimedia using Flash, desktop publishing, and Microsoft Office 2003 applications.
The Information Technology Unit Training Council offers four workshop tracks for which faculty and staff can earn certificates of completion and Continuing Education Units (CEUs): Planning and Creating a Web Site; Teaching with Online Tools; Microsoft Office Fundamentals; and Graphic Creation, Manipulation, and Animation.
