George Mason will host the annual E-Learning Faculty Forum, sponsored by the Consortium of Universities of the Washington Metropolitan Area, on Monday, May 16, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Johnson Center Dewberry Hall on the Fairfax Campus.
This year’s theme is “Crafting Technology: From Tool to Art.” The keynote speaker will be Mason history professor T. Mills Kelly, a Carnegie Fellow and a Woodrow Wilson scholar, who won the Virginia Outstanding Faculty Award for Teaching with Technology this year.
Another feature of the forum will be the annual faculty showcase, as well as afternoon sessions on such topics as electronic portfolios. Faculty and staff are invited to submit presentations for the afternoon showcase and to attend and learn about new and more sophisticated applications of instructional technology. The forum is free but registration is required by May 11.
