Candidates for Equity Deputy Director Come to Campus

The Search Committee for the deputy director for the Office of Equity and Diversity Services has selected four candidates to come to campus for interviews, with the first one scheduled today. There will be two group sessions, plus a general session where the candidates will present on a pre-selected topic. The university community is welcome to attend any of the sessions, which will last one hour.

The candidates are Josephine Evola, interim director of the Office of Diversity and Affirmative Action at Illinois State University; Melissa Bowers, compliance officer for the Public School Division, Human Resources, for the City of Virginia Beach, Va.; Yvonne Powers, district civil rights administrator for the Virginia Department of Transportation; and Carson Cook, director of the Office of Diversity and Equity Programs at Mississippi State University.
