Fenwick Renovations Will Limit Access to Books This Summer

Fenwick Library on the Fairfax Campus will undergo two major renovation projects beginning in May and continuing through the summer. One is the replacement and improvement of the front steps and plaza area at the main entrance to Fenwick. The second project is the renovation and expansion of book stack space on Floor 2B.
The 2B renovation requires that most books on that floor (religious studies, philosophy, and European history) be unavailable after May 15 through completion of the renovation in August. Psychology books will be available on request from closed stacks, while Mason theses and dissertations will be available for library use only through Special Collections. Materials can be obtained through WRLC (Consortium Loan Service) or Interlibrary Loan. Library staff will be available to expedite student and faculty requests for the affected collection areas.
Faculty, students, and staff are encouraged to check out any needed materials for summer use by May 15. Any materials needed for course reserves must be placed at the Johnson Center Library by May 15. The renovations are expected to be completed by the start of the fall semester.
