Irene Abdul, All University Card, retired.
Shirley A. Brown, Intercollegiate Athletics, retired.
Missy Cahill, Human Resources/Payroll, retired.
Thomas G. Calhoun joined Facilities Planning as director.
Margaret A. Dove, Intercollegiate Athletics, retired.
David Drummey joined the Office of University Counsel as associate university counsel. Drummey has his JD from George Mason’s School of Law and his BS in Accounting, also from Mason. He previously worked for the law firm of Pompan, Murray & Wefel PLC, where he focused on civil litigation.
Lori Jennings joined Media Relations as a public relations coordinator. Jennings previously worked for Ketchum Public Relations in Washington, D.C.
Jeremy Lasich, Media Relations, left Mason to join the Fairfax County Office of Public Affairs as Communications Division director.
Olga O’Brien was promoted to recreation coordinator for the Freedom Aquatic and Fitness Center.
Anne S. Rose, Institutional Assessment, retired.
Nancy C. Wallace, University Career Services, retired.
College of Arts and Sciences
James J. Fletcher, Philosophy, retired, but will continue at Mason as an adjunct professor.
James Kimble, Communication, accepted a tenure track position at Seton Hall starting this fall.
Pat Sperry was hired as a new office manager for the Communication Department.
Maria Eugenia Verdaguer joined New Century College as director of the Bachelor of Individualized Studies Program.
College of Education and Human Development
William R. Martin retired.
Jan Mulvaney is retiring.
College of Visual and Performing Arts
Michael Thompson is the new financial specialist in the Department of Music. He replaces Tammy Broomall, who is now the office manager for the Department of Art and Visual Technology.
Amy Duffey is the new academic advisor in the Department of Music, replacing Cheryl Nalbach. She comes to George Mason from the New World School of Music in Miami, Fla., where she was assistant to the dean.
School of Management
Alison O’Brien was appointed associate dean of undergraduate programs. O’Brien will direct all academic support and student service programs for the undergraduate student body. She replaced James Harvey, a long-time faculty member at Mason, who continues to serve the Mason community as associate professor of marketing.
