Author Blais to Read from Her Work

Award-winning Québécois author Marie-Claire Blais will present a reading from her work tomorrow, April 19, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in the Johnson Center, Assembly Room E. The reading, which will be in English, is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided.
Blais will read from her latest trilogy, which includes These Festive Nights (1995) and Thunder and Light (2001), as well as Augustino dans le chœur de la destruction (published in French in March 2005). A book signing and sale will be held after the reading. Sponsors are the Department of Modern and Classical Languages, Cultural Studies, University Life, and Women’s Studies, along with the support of the Québec government.
