Don and Nancy de Laski, longtime friends of the university, have initiated a $2 million challenge to fund the reconfiguration and expansion of the Performing Arts Building. Above, an architect’s drawing shows the addition, which will be on the end of the building facing the Johnson Center. The de Laskis are challenging alumni, faculty, staff, and other friends of the university to follow their lead by making contributions to the College of Visual and Performing Arts (CVPA) totaling $2 million to match their commitment. The initiative has the potential to secure additional matching state funds and will extend beyond The Campaign for George Mason University, which runs through June 30. For more information about the challenge, contact CVPA at 703-993-8607.
