Faculty Showcase Focuses on Blogging

Paula Petrik, Center for History and New Media, and Steve Klein, Communication, will present “Using Blogging as a Teaching and Learning Tool” on Friday, April 8, from 1 to 2:30 p.m., in Innovation Hall, Room 334, on the Fairfax Campus. The session is sponsored by the Center for Teaching Excellence and DoIT’s Instructional Resource Center.
The event will focus on how weblogs can be used as a teaching and learning tool. Petrik and Klein will demonstrate the use of weblogs in their courses and present lessons learned and the challenges for the students’ blogging experience. Learning goals for blogging will also be discussed.
