Make healthy living a part of your life at Mason’s Health and Fitness Expo, held on March 30-31 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Johnson Center’s Dewberry Hall, and on Wednesday, April 6, at the Prince William Campus. Take advantage of free food, free massages, free health screenings, and more.
The expo features vendors and information displays, demonstrations, giveaways, and health-related activities. A 20-ft. outdoor rock climbing wall will be located on the Johnson Center South Plaza, outside the Bistro. Mason’s Dining Services and food vendors will have free food samples, and exhibitors will offer demonstrations and information, including free massages and other popular alternative therapies. The Lions Club will collect old eyeglasses for charity, and Kaiser Permanente will provide free health screenings for bone density, cholesterol, blood pressure, blood sugar, nutritional analysis, and vision and hearing.
Nutritionist Ann Litt, the author of The College Student’s Guide to Eating Well on Campus, will speak at noon on Wednesday, March 30, in the Johnson Center Cinema. She is the nutritionist for the Washington Redskins and a spokesperson for the “Got Milk” campaign, and she specializes in helping young adults develop normal eating habits and maintain a healthy weight.
