Victims’ Rights 5k Run and Walk Set for April 12

The ninth annual Victims’ Rights 5K Run and Walk will be held on Tuesday, April 12, with proceeds going to the University Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) Program. The program begins at 11:30 a.m. at Mason Pond Drive in front of the Center for the Arts building and lasts until 3 p.m. There is a $15 entry fee, which includes a light fruit buffet, water, and T-shirt for the first 400 participants to register by April 1. A discount for students, faculty, staff, and groups is available.
Trophies will be awarded to the top runners and walker. A raffle, with prizes supplied by community sponsors, will also be held.
The run/walk is sponsored by the George Mason University Army ROTC Patriot Battalion, University Police, Sexual Assault Services, Hot 99.5, Great Harvest Bread Company, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, and Potomac River Running. This year’s event will be professionally timed by You Start/I Finish of Reston, Va.
