Women’s Basketball Seeded No. 6 in CAA Championship

George Mason’s women’s basketball team clinched the no. 6 seed in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Championship with a 46-44 win over Drexel University last Thursday night.
Prior to tip-off, seniors Julie Flanders, and guard Lauren Hediger, both English majors, were honored for their four years of hard work and dedication to Mason’s program.
The Patriots (12-15, 8-10 CAA) will return to action tomorrow night at 7:30 p.m. when they face Drexel (no. 3 seed) again, this time in the CAA Championship quarterfinals. The semifinals will be played on Friday, March 11, with start times of 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The championship game is scheduled for noon on Saturday, March 12.
All games will be played at the Patriot Center on the Fairfax Campus of George Mason. Tickets for the CAA Women’s Basketball Championship are $25 for all nine games, with single-session tickets priced at $13 for adults, $9 for youths and seniors, and $5 general admission seating for CAA students with a valid school ID. Mason staff get $4 off the ticket price with an ID. Tickets can be purchased at the Patriot Center Box Office or by calling TicketMaster at 703-573-SEAT.
