Activities for Healthy Relationships Week get under way tomorrow with a healthy relationship chat at noon in the Johnson Center, Room 244. The lunchtime discussion focuses on avoiding the “mind-reading trap” and learning about other communication skills that can improve relationships with partners and friends.

A healthy relationship kiosk will be set up in the Johnson Center tomorrow through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Visit the kiosk to decorate cookies and Valentine’s cards, read romantic poems, explore relationship guides, and take a healthy relationships quiz. Visitors can also enter a raffle to win teddy bears and books, with the drawing to be held on Friday at 3 p.m.

On Thursday, Ric Chollar, Office of Diversity Programs and Services, presents “Man to Man, Woman to Woman-Healthy Same-Sex Relationships,” from 2 to 3 p.m. in the Johnson Center, Room E.

In a Valentine’s Day celebration, George Mason women present three special performances of The Vagina Monologues in the Harris Theatre. The play begins at 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 11, and at 2 and 8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 12. Tickets are $5 for students, $10 for faculty and staff, and $25 for community members. All proceeds benefit efforts to end violence against women and girls in the Northern Virginia region.
