 Glenn Smith, professor of music, plays a duet with a student in Toronto, Canada, at the Internet2 multimedia event last week. The gathering was the first of its kind, bringing together George Mason music faculty members with the student, over distance, for a piano lesson-recital using special software, a digital acoustic piano, and teleconferencing over high-speed networks.
