Former U.S. Rep. Tim Roemer will share his experiences as a member of the 9/11 Commission when he speaks at the Fairfax Campus on Monday, Nov. 29, at 3:30 p.m. in the Mason Hall Board Room. “The 9/11 Commission: The Transformation of Our Intelligence Community” is cosponsored by the Mercatus Center, the School of Law, and the Department of Public and International Affairs.

A distinguished scholar at Mason’s Mercatus Center and president of the Center for National Policy, Roemer represented Indiana’s 3rd District in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1991 to 2003. In 2002, he was appointed to the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks upon the United States–the so-called 9/11 Commission–which issued its final report in July. He was the key author of House legislation to establish the commission.
