Ground has been broken for the George Mason University Foundation’s new five-story office/retail complex and parking deck contiguous to the Arlington Campus. Scheduled to be completed in summer 2006, the 205,000-square-foot building will consist of 192,500 square feet of office space and 12,500 square feet of retail space. The project will also include 760 parking spaces.
SRA International Inc. has signed a 10-year lease on the office building, and there is already significant interest in the retail space. The facility will provide off-site parking for the university and, ultimately, a debt-free building for university use.
